Aviation jobs at Bengaluru airport.
Bengaluru is South India's largest aviation job market and one of its fastest-growing: an Air India Express hub, a major IndiGo base and an Akasa Air operating base all fly from Kempegowda. The hiring ecosystem includes AISATS — whose dedicated air freight terminal and COOLPORT are on-site — Bird Group's GlobeGround India, Air Works base maintenance a short hop away at Hosur, AAI air traffic control and CISF security.

Bengaluru airport careers — FAQ.
Air India Express uses BLR as a hub, IndiGo runs one of its biggest southern bases here, and Akasa Air has kept an operating base at Kempegowda since its launch. Applications go through each airline's central recruitment; BLR is a commonly offered base for southern-region crew.
AISATS is the anchor employer — it handles passenger, ramp and cargo work at BLR and runs its own air freight terminal and pharma COOLPORT on the airport, so it hires across ramp, warehouse and cold-chain roles. GlobeGround India (Bird Group) is the other established handler. BIAL hires terminal operations and airside roles directly.
Line maintenance for the based carriers happens at the airport itself, and Air Works runs its flagship base maintenance facility at Hosur aerodrome, a short distance from Bengaluru — one of the few private heavy-maintenance employers in South India. Bengaluru's wider aerospace industry (design, manufacturing, HAL ecosystem) also absorbs licensed engineers.
The Airports Authority of India. Even at privately run airports, ATC and the navigation/surveillance infrastructure (CNS/ATM) are AAI's — controllers at BLR are AAI officers recruited through the national Junior Executive (ATC) process, not BIAL employees.
